“A Future Language That Can Bring Humans Together For Once”
Bringing back art to its organic roots – into the human souls, into the echoes of nature. Letting art go with the flow– into a world functioning with artificial intelligence. Visual artist Canda Bruce Niyonkuru is not afraid of facing both sides of today’s existence. His organic paintings and depict human nature from within, its creative and destructive sides. In 2013, the artist decided to make art a profession. Last year, he founded with his colleagues the collective “Kuuru Art Space” in the Rwandan capital Kigali. Arlette-Louise Ndakoze met the artist in Kigali, in November 2018, for a conversation on the echoes of his arts: coming from nature, going to nature, and resonating with the various societies of today’s world.
